The small town of Decorah, Iowa is home to Souled Out Ministries' second U.S. base. In 1999, Scott and Sherry Tidwell, who have been with Souled Out Ministries for nearly 9 years, took on the task of moving to a large ranch on the outskirts of town, appropriately dubbed 'Heart & Soul Ranch'. As they settled in, they began hosting smaller versions of the Souled Out Saturday services in their home with young people from the area who were hungry to be involved with something and someone beyond themselves. As their small group of youth grew, Souled Out Ministries purchased a coffee house and café in the center of Decorah.

Today Scott and Sherry have moved on but the Magpie Café continues as a successful business in Decorah. Justin and Joanne Neumaiaer are now running the Magpie cafe. The Souled Out Ministries Iowa branch sees many young people from the Chicagoland area and even overseas, come through to offer their time as workers, bakers and baristas as they learn to serve the community in the most practical of ways. The relationships in this unique small town setting, combined with the great tasting food they serve, makes the Magpie Café yet another flavor of the Souled Out Ministries outreach to the world!
